Custom Suction Cup Manufacturing Process

1. Requirement Review

Every custom suction cup starts with understanding your application. Provide:

  • Drawing
  • Sample
  • Dimensions
  • Application details

2. Material & Process Selection

Based on your requirements, we determine the right rubber and the right way to make it:

  • Rubber material — based on temperature resistance, chemical exposure, and surface condition
  • Molding process — Compression Molding, Injection Molding, or Transfer Molding, based on product structure, precision requirements, and production volume

3. Mold Development

With material and process confirmed, we build the tooling to bring your part to life:

  • Custom tooling matched to the selected molding process and product geometry

4. Prototype Validation

Before mass production, prototypes are tested under conditions relevant to their intended application, using the same or representative tooling and manufacturing process planned for production. We evaluate:

  • Vacuum holding and sealing performance
  • Attachment and release performance
  • Durability under repeated use
  • Dimensional consistency and repeatability

5. Mass Production

Once the prototype is approved, production is scaled up using the process selected in Step 2, with the tooling and process parameters controlled for consistent part quality.

Material

Our suction cups can be manufactured using a variety of rubber materials to meet different performance needs:

  • Silicone Rubber (MVQ)
  • Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer
  • Rubber (EPDM)
  • Natural Rubber (NR)
  • Neoprene Rubber (CR)
